I have all the books!

… well, the coloring books, anyway. And not all of them so much as just the ones I’ve illustrated.

But still.

The first two releases of HCI BooksInkspirations series are here, and they’re beautiful!

Clicking on the images above will bring you to my Etsy shop, where I have a limited number of each book for sale. While supplies last, if you order from me, you’ll get a bookmark, a handwritten thank you note, and whatever other special little something I decide to throw into the package. Also, I’m happy to sign your book if you’d like, just write me a note when you order.

Today through Sunday, use the coupon code INKSPIRED to get 10% off your order.

But here’s the crazy exciting news I’ve been wanting to share.  The books will also be available at Michael’s, Books-A-Million, Walmart, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, Target… and almost anywhere books are sold! I’m giddy about that and would love if, whenever you happen to see one, you take a picture and share it with me on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. I promise to get unreasonably excited and mushy grateful.

My photography skills don’t do them justice, but I wanted to take a picture of the pages so you could see how wonderfully the art is paired with each quote. There are also examples of pages colored; a whole section about choosing colors, including a color wheel and palette discussion; and a how-to-make-your-own-mandala page, with step-by-step instructions.

If you’re still on the fence about coloring, I wrote a nifty little article for Beliefnet, 10 Reasons Adults Should Color. Here’s #5:

5. Coloring awakens the child in you. By indulging in an activity we all loved as children, you tap into a simpler self and time – before you were burdened with the idea that everything you do needs to make money, whittle your waistline, or impact the world. If there is value in being awed and delighted by our everyday existence (and I firmly believe there is), then I think coloring might be one of the fastest, most enjoyable ways to reach that place inside yourself that is most capable of joy and wonder.

And finally, to celebrate the launch of the Inkspirations series, here’s a free downloadable coloring page from Inkspirations for Recovery. (And for more free downloads, check out my Freebies page.) Enjoy! xo

p.s. If you purchase a coloring book and like it, I’m told it would be helpful if you’d post a review on Amazon. And if you let me know you did that, I promise that jigs will be danced in your honor. ; )
